Hello everyone, Im Lisa and i have recently (Sunday) acquired an 18 month old Lab bitch. She was bred and worked by my friend and other than walking to heel she knew nothing but her name (and thast sketchy at times). Shes lived her whole short life in a kennel but has taken to pet life and is responding to the clicker and me very well. She's quite nervy with other people so were trying to get out and about as much as possible but without putting her in a stressful situation. She is my first lab and a bit of a project so ill no doubt be asking a lot of questions ;D
Re: New to the Lab world Welcome! Apparently Labs take quite readily to the indoor life - they know where a good thing is to be found! I hope that she settles in well over the next few weeks. It sounds like you are making good progress with her already in helping her to adjust to her new life and people ps. we'd love to see a photo of your lovely new girl
Re: New to the Lab world Hi Lisa, welcome to the forum. What a lovely thing you have done rescuing your girl from a miserable life and into your loving home. Good luck with her and keep us up to date with her progress. Helen x

Re: New to the Lab world hello and thank you for the warm welcome. She is called Goldie and so far is picking up the "house rules" quite well. Today she even learnt to "wait" until i said she could fetch the ball...clever little thing. I will get some pictures tomorrow
Re: New to the Lab world Here she is ;D Training and general learning abou how to behave is coming along billiantly. She's much happier with strangers but needs more socialising with other dogs...Good first week for project pooch
