I've bought the ones from dog games. Hopefully they'll get on well with them and find them comfy. I quite like how obvious they are, I've decided. I don't care what people think they're being used for. Harnesses are very unusual here, so odd looks and questions are to be expected whatever type of harness they're in.

I did consider getting one with paniers for when we start longer hikes, but I figure that I'm happier to carry the treats/food for them myself to keep it safe - from each other and from getting drenched in streams.

Bit late coming in to this now but I have an XtraDog harness which is basically the same as the perfect fit/dog games one and I think it's fab!

I would also recommend the ruffwear harnesses but they can be quite expensive. At the kennels we used them for dogs who had a habit of slipping out of normal harnesses as they are virtually escape proof!

With this harness - she responds faster to "lead suggestions", and doesn't ever end up with the gasping like she did with the Puppia harness (when lunging excitedly on the end of the lead ::) ) This fits much better, and while she is still embarrassed to have to have it put on :-[ like with any harness she has been around, this one does seem to be more comfortable on her, and gives us better control.
I actually LOVE the shocking pink and the fact that it stands out. People on the street can see that I am working with her to train appropriate interactions and don't just come up to her uninvited.

    Nice posing Bella

We have the same harness, but in red. I love it and find Harley much easier to control in it

That's interesting, Angela, because I assumed it might be warmer on them with it covering so much of their chest. But I guess if it's OK in your temperatures, it would be OK in ours!!!

It was always the thinnest fabric one to be honest and when he was being really reactive I liked it more than the strappy ones because it felt more supportive. Some of the strappy ones for a larger breed swamped him and felt really thick and cumbersome on him....... it's so hot here, probably even a collar has an effect on them .......Alarm is going off at 5.20 now.....this has been since Monday ,Dexter always knows the time he was nudging me at 5.18 this morning....he must have judged the time between the first prayer call from the mosque and the amount of time that lapses before I get up! X

That's one of my most distinct memories of my trips to Dubai....the prayer call in the early morning hours....It was such a disorienting thing....Get in at midnight...jet lagged from a zillion hours in a plane....to be jolted awake to sounds I didn't understand at odd hours.... ::) Once someone explained it, it was fine....well...except that I was there when some prince died in a car crash and things got a jumbled up for the mourning process...

    I'm trying to recall if I ever actually saw a dog when I was there....feral cats a few times...camels....but I can't recall seeing a dog. :-\
