    Hi all,

My little man, Arnie, is being a little monster most of the time. He's doing really well and we are making inroads with the potty training.

One thing I have noticed is he does not have that insatiable appetite that labs are known for. I don't know if it is just him getting distracted or what it is, but when I put food down, he kinda eats a little bit of it and then goes away and plays or just does something else.

I haven't changed his diet from what the breeder was giving him, and I am giving him the same amounts as well. He just doesn't seem to want to eat all his food.

What do you guys make of that?

    A.

do you pick the bowl up after 10 minutes or do you leave it down for him to graze at his leisure? If you leave it down, it might be worth picking it up after 10 mins, then try again at his next meal.
It could be that the amount of food is too much. How many meals a day is he having?
My girl was never really interested in kibble, she would eat it, but not enthusiastically. She's now on a barf diet and eats with gusto :D

Yeah I pick it up. He's having two meals a day for the most part. Sometimes three. I'm still trying to figure out what he prefers.

I know it's recommended to feed him 3 a day but the breeder fed him twice, so I tried sticking with that, but I might have to go three small portions

I found out that when the puppy is not in competition with their litter mates, they eat less. Try feeding three times a day and giving less at each meal.
