Oban was on leash because we walked over and I hadn't let him off yet. Just got around the corner of the building and met her and her two dogs on the way to their car and they were both off leash. They were nasty. I'm thinking the leash was the culprit because this is the big GSD we meet off leash and Oban likes him. This day they were both nasty. The little dog is always unpleasant While I was fending off the GSD by yelling and shouting the smaller one charged in, flew at Oban's throat and bit him! Oban is no wallflower and if there was going to be a confrontation he was up for it so I was holding him back, going in circles. I yelled, "Call your dogs" She didn't. She didn't apologize or ever bother to call me and see if my dog was ok after hers charging mine. She lives around the corner. Other people have told they've had problems too but only with her. When they are with him the dogs are fine. Her dogs have been iffy when we've met before, if it's just her but never this bad. Got to be the leash on Oban. But she is a bad owner. I'm still mad.

That's terrible. You've a right to be furious. Poor Oban... I hope he wasn't bitten to the point of blood drawn....

Oh no! Hope Oban is ok.

Does she walk the same time everyday? If so I would be changing my times to avoid her and her dogs.

Thanks all for letting me vent and your concern. I did check Oban, he is fine. But she doesn't know that. It's disappointing as well as maddening that someone who lives around the corner from me, I put Christmas cars in their mailbox, acts the way she does. He is very nice.

They don't seem to walk a route on a schedule. She's a nurse and he's a cop so I think they both work shifts.

Yikes! How scary! Maybe she was just so horribly embarrassed she didn't say anything? Not that that's an excuse, I hope poor Oban is ok.

These things happen but the very least she could do was to apologise and offer to pay any vet fees and to see if there was anything you could both to in the future to avoid this happening again.

I'm glad Oban is ok. She should have apologised and got her dogs back under control pronto. Hope you are ok too.

Sounds like a nasty incident for you both.
Hope you don't come across them again soon.
    Poor Oban.

Hope you and Oban are ok? I get so annoyed when people just walk off when their dog has attacked
I would contact the dog warden.......as your dog was on lead he was under control......hers weren't so they can take action.

Dogs will be dogs and incidents happen. That sounds like I'm condoning bad dog behaviour, I'm not. Just saying sometimes even the most predictable calm dog could have an unexpected moment for reasons that may not be apparent to us. But, big but, it's how the owner reacts an interacts with their dog and with other dog owners or people that makes all the difference.
