Sounds like a 100% sensible approach. Great that you've been able to sort out this plan with the neighbours. Hope you are feeling a little better
What a worry for you. It has been lovely hearing about Simba and his new friend - he always seems to be so isolated from other dogs (I blame the weather) I am so glad your neighbour has a sensible head on her shoulders. It sounds like you have a very fair plan x
Yes, I am feeling better, thanks. A bit of a wobble but back on track. We'll see how things go over the next few days. I had Zelda over for a bit this morning - not a lot of enthusiastic playing from Simba as I think he was feeling a bit off from all the food he ate yesterday (serves him right, I mutter under my breath). Plus it's really quite warm here 25C today, yippee!) so they are both not quite as rambunctious as usual. I haven't broached the "only let them play in my back yard" idea yet with the neighbours, but I don think she'll mind. I think that will likely only happen during the weekdays when the kids are at school, on weekends it might get a bit tricky with the kids home so they might just have to gaze adoringly across the fence at each other for now. I hate for Simba to lose his friend, he really is quite isolated so hopefully this will work okay.
Best of luck with it - it is lovely Simba has a playmate. Dogs don't need to play every day though, it's probably good for both of them to be able to be together and not play, or both be out in the garden but with the gate closed.
Really glad there hasn't been any falling out between neighbours over this Lisa, your neighbour does sound reasonable and I hope she was kind to you ,it sounds like it x I love your weather is warming up for you but as you warm up...so do I!!!
Just catching up and what a worry! Sounds like you have really good neighbours, thoughtful and not reacting to the situation.
I'm sorry I've missed this but as always you've had excellent advice and I'm so glad your neighbour is sensible. Much love to you and greedy Simba!
