That's heartbreaking. As if you could do that to your most loyal friend. I hope the kids do that to them when they get old!
That old girl knows how to live. Cassie is now drooling She says she really hopes it's Seriously Strong Extra Mature Cheddar
Big hugs, I've been through this with family dogs, but not my own, just my little fuzzbutts. She has style, that Moo, and will do to the end
She's not had a good few days so I think it's going to be a trip to the vets for a thorough MOT. She's been sick this morning and pooped in the kitchen when I got back from work. She's getting a lot of back leg stiffness and occasional limping so I think she's getting a bit of degeneration going on in her spine. I think it's time to start some pain meds which are more affective than the ones she's had before. shes got some lumps which i suspect are lymphoma and a cough. I think its time to manage her pain more effectively She's also sleeping more a lot more. She's still very much herself and at times twinkly eyed and perky but I want to get some stuff checked. I'm not upset or very worried because I know time is ticking and its just a natural progression for her but I need to make it easier for her. The bloody little sh*t got me up at 3.30 this morning I got that she's not going to be here much longer feeling this weekend.
I hope Moo has a better night (and you do too!). It's not easy seeing them struggle, but she's so lucky that she's got you.
I just burst into tears in the car reading this and OH is looking at me like So much love to you and Moo! I hope to be as good to Stanley when he needs me as you are to your dogs one day x
