It's everywhere!!!! I sweep at least twice a day. But it literally comes back again. Is it moulting season now? I would have thought it was a bit early?!

I'm going to give Bob a jolly good grooming once a day from now on - get the majority off.

    Any other tips??

It may be the shed from puppy to adult coat. Shadow is losing it really badly at the moment. Willow not so much, but hers doesn't show up anywhere near as much anyway. What possessed me to get a yellow?! :D

Actually when I was sweeping I thought thank goodness these are all black so I can see them more easily lol! I had a nice pile of it in the kitchen earlier and Bob ate some - how gross!!!

Do they get their adult coats about now then?

Haha, how strange. What floor do you have? We have oak flooring throughout except for in the kitchen where we have grey tiles. The white hair definitely shows up far worse!

I think it normally happens around six months, but maybe the cold weather is bringing it forward? No idea, it was just a guess! :D

We've got white tiles in the kitchen and laminate wood flooring in the dining room... it is really obvious in the kitchen, not so on the wood, but I sweep it anyway. I'm a bit OCD about cleaning the hairs are stressing me out quite a bit. I dread to think how many we have actually eaten... I think they float around in the air as I see them on our dinner plates as well sometimes... eugh!

The best thing I ever bought (and I bought it at the vet's!) was a hand held Dyson. If I see any little bit I swoosh it up in a moment and good for vacuuming dog beds and piles of hair! I went to the surgery once and there was a Dyson engineer who had been servicing the practice Dyson and I bought this hand held one there and then!

I find the best thing is ferrets. They sweep it up from under the sofas and other units and it collects in certain corners in the room, where it's really easy to sweep it up from :D

    ;D ;D ;D ferrets....

I gave up being OCD about hair a LONG time ago...we live on a farm...there is always hair, feathers, poop, mud, and lord only knows what else around. On top of that we heat with wood - so we have lots of dust/ash in the air all the time too.

I sweep up once a week from my hardwood floors and linoleum in the kitchen...if it's REALLY bad, I do it more often....but between my husband, Bella, and Crystal the giant white dog, and 4 cats....my floors are NEVER really clean. ::)

We had a black lab crossed with a golden retriever when I was growing up (sweetest dog ever). She looked like a black golden retriever, and shed constantly. If you found a hair in your food (as you often would) my mom started saying "oh, a bonus!" hahaha. We all picked it up and I'm sure soon enough I'll start finding "bonuses" in my food as well…

Only fair though, as Maisie has eaten some of my hair (don't ask me how I know that… ick!).

The rechargeable hand-held Dyson is fab for a quick zip around the kitchen floor or wherever.
Before we had Mira, we had dust-bunnies ;) - housework is not high on our agenda and very ad hoc - so it doesn't bother me too much! Dark grey kitchen floor tiles and wood floors hide a multitude!! We try to keep the downstairs bathroom door closed (white tiles) but they still find their way in ::)
I think some Dysons actually have a pet brush attachment

Strangely Molly is heavily moulting at the mo. I wasn't expecting it until spring.
