Re: OMG Training takes time! Maybe he's developed a bit of motion sickness in the car and travelling is not nice for him anymore? Usually motion sickness in dogs has its origins in a bit of anxiety, and then the anxiety and motion sickness kind of feed off eachother.
Re: OMG Training takes time! How can I stop this motion sickness? Any ideas? Even hot dog pieces do not work
Re: OMG Training takes time! Bumped. I don't know much about this, sorry. I'd be tempted to chat to your vet, maybe a short course of drugs might break the sickness/anxiety thing? Or, is there a trainer or behaviourist you could consult to check what the underlying cause of all of this might be?
Re: OMG Training takes time! Perhaps an anxiety thing but while I am away at work, he is mostly around my parents who do no training whatsoever. I've realized theres only one way that works after having tried every other nice way : Force. I am having to force him up by attaching one leash to the collar and a longer leash on his harness. I get in the back seat and tug on the leash to collar and there we go! This is the first time in over a month that I've been able to take him to the dog park. He has an amazing time but resisted a little more (not wanting to leave the dog park) when going to the car. This way seems to be the only way that works.
Re: OMG Training takes time! I am just so happy to be able to take him out to the dog park after so long and he really enjoyed it. I just feel so happy. I loved taking him wherever I went. It was an adventure for both of us.
