    Hi
Considering a day one to one with a trainer with our six month old to be out doors and include avoiding sheep and being with other dogs, but unsure what costs we should be looking at. Have spoken to one trainer who sounded great but if we are going to spend a lot of money need some comparisons about what we should be paying.
What would you expect to pay for one day one to one
Advice appreciated and again thanks in anticipation
    T and C x

It depends where you are in the UK. In Cornwall I pay around £20 an hour for 121 tuition, in the South East, up to £40 an hour.

Our trainer is about 40 for an hours 121. I would say that if it really is just you and an expert I'm absolutely wrung out after an hour. There's no way I or my dog could do a full day 121, as part of a class yes but not just us. Full days or numbers of days as part of a group have usually been between 70 and 100 per day and the longest course I've done was 4 days (tiring!). Weekends are perfect for us, just intensive enough without breaking us completely ;D

    I paid £35 for 90 minutes.

She came to the house the first time.

Second time we went to an appropriate, local, training area.

I consider it well worth it.

At only six months old I would say a day's one to one training would be far too much for your pup and he probably wouldn't learn anything as his brain would be frazzled. An hour's one to one would be better, you could have one a week.

Thanks for responses and agree a day may be too much but struggling to find a trainer who does work outside with livestock around our area. May see if this trainer can do two half days. If any one has suggestions for a trainer in North Lancs, South Cumbria it would be really welcome.
    Thanks
