She probably wants to clean it, but I'm so scared she will damage the scab. She's now giving me the "look"...

Really glad it's healing up well. Very cool haircut :)

I'm with you re the cone - better safe than sorry!

She might appreciate a good brushing of the areas she can't reach :)

Oh, bless her! I hope the other dogs in the park aren't laughing at her. She should tell them it's all the rage in Paris and Milan ... :D

Yes, good idea. She does smell a bit! As she hasn't been in the sea or rivers I can really smell the difference and she definitely has a doggy smell about about her!

Totally understand not wanting to risk going backwards on the healing. Soon it will be off for good! :)

You could also take a damp facecloth and do the "licking" for her. When I dry Snowie off after he's been wading in the pool (doesn't wet his back), he always loves it when I take the damp towel and rub him up and down on his back even though it's dry there. It's also good for loosening moulting hair and rubbing it off.

We have a natural lavender spray (just lavender and lemon essential oil and water) for freshening the air. I sprayed it on Snowie's back (just a few squirts) thinking it might keep mosquitoes away from him. He smelled lovely! You could try something similar. Can you not wash her? Will a bath affect her wound? You could tie a plastic bag around her tail to keep it dry.

There's no way I can get her in the bath! I usually just hose her down with the hose pipe!! She also goes crazy if she gets wet and does the scooty zoomies, which means her tail is being dragged along the ground! A rub with a damp cloth might just do the job though.
