Our beautiful boy Henry damaged his back right leg and Thursday had X-ray that showed his crucial ligament is damaged so much so the vet will operate and put plates in both his back knees as the left one is rubbing. Can anyone tell me what to expect after operation and will he be cured? l am so worried for him. Thank you for reading

Hi Sue, what a worry for you!

I don't have any similar experience I'm afraid, but I'll be thinking of Henry - do you have a date for his operation?

Hopefully someone who has been in your position before will be along shortly.

Aw, thank you, Henry will have his operation Wednesday 9.15am 14th February, which isn't too long to wait.

Both knees at the same time? I've never heard of it. Did the vet suggest physical therapy afterwards? It may help with the recovery. Also if you are doing both knees at the same time you will definitely need a sling or a harness to support his back end.

    Is this TPLO surgery?
