We asked our Facebook friends this question - let's see how similar/different the answers in this group are! What's YOUR favourite breed, other than Labs? Mine is working Cockers....but I've a very soft spot for Cockapoos, too
Newfoundland. I had 3 before I downsized to a lab. Such a gentle sweet breed, that could swim forever!
Poodle. My mother had several minatures (which she showed over the years) and they were the sweetest dogs (and no shedding! ), but really I would probably opt for another Lab if I could get one with my girl's bloodlines.
We meet a couple of really nice Springers at B&B we stayed at in Oban this Fall. If I had to have a smaller dog, they would be high on my list.
My first ever dog was a Springer. He was such a character - I still miss him 17 years later. They are very full on though - everything happens at 110%
