I took Otis to the pdsa vet this afternoon, they were excellent. They said that the scarring on his back, and itching was due to some old flea bites , and that his coat was a bit dry. They gave him a
treatment, and I have to bathe him in a solution they gave me tomorrow. Because of the treatment he cant have his first vaccine till next Friday. There was a bit of blood in his poo, and his poo is a bit loose, so he is going to be on chicken and rice for three days starting tomorrow. I cleaned his ears with olive oil, as they were a bit mucky. Quite a relief nothing serious is wrong, especialy after seeing blood in his poo. He was a dream dog, sleeping all the way back from the vets in his crate. He is such a lovely boy, I loved the way the vet called out his name and my surname, Otis Cronk !

Thats good news for your little boy . Sam had blood in his poo once when he was a pup , causing panic from me but it turned out to be a combination of bits of wood he had eaten , so I`m pleased that your news is good too and that Otis Cronk was a star patient :) :)

I missed your post yesterday Maggie, glad Mt Otis Cronk Esq. has had his once over by the vet.think it exhausts them going to the vet when they are little ,so he would have needed a good nap ...
Good job on the ears, luckily Dexters stay clean and I haven't had to venture there too often as bizarrely I'm really squeamish about dogs ears.....they look so delicate and fragile ,I'm nuts ;D
