I am not sure if I am paranoid or if there's something I should be worried about. I noticed that since late yesterday Max has been peeing way more than usual, maybe every couple minutes sometimes, despite not drinking more than usual. He also has splotchy reddish patches on the groom/soft skin area. I tried to show in this video. I left a message for my vet but she's off until Monday. Should I worry?

It's a bit hard to see in the vid...

    Is his behaviour normal otherwise?

Any change to his food, meaning he is taking in more water? (Wet food increases water intake a lot, relative to dry food like kibble).

We are on the midst of transition his kibble from one brand to another. This is the 6th day and we are 50/50 new and old. Other than that, no changes. He did wake up more to go the past two nights and had accidents yesterday and today after going a week with none. He was crates more on Tuesday Thank he is typically. I can't think of anything else different.

May possibly be a urinary tract infection. I'd just keep an eye on it. Might be good to keep a record of the times when he wees, so you can monitor if it's changing over the next few days?

Surely there must be another vet you could talk to in the practice, even though your one is off until Monday. I would certainly give them a ring for advice.

I can schedule an emergency appointment same day with another vet, so I am going to see how does this morning and take it from there.

Yes, sounds like a little UTI.

The sooner it's treated the better. Take a wee sample to the vets to speed things up.

This isn't unusual in young pups.

Well maybe I was seeing things. The red spots are gone and he's been peeing pretty normal today.

That's good. Never ever hurts to be attentive though! :)
