Thank you everyone. I feel a bit ridiculous, even posting about her swollen wrist, it's such a minor thing compared to what others are going through. But I was worried by it. :-[ We've already had a week of quiet walks and no training, but the limp just didn't really clear up totally on its own - it would be fine in the morning, not noticeable on a walk, but then after resting she would really limp on the right side. Now I will be even more vigilant - which won't be all that easy, since she's getting a bit bored, and with the anti-inflammatories won't be feeling any pain!

Just for the record: Both Poppy's parents have excellent hip and elbow scores. Poppy herself has A2 hips on both sides (with A1 being the highest score, and E being the lowest), so I guess that would be equivalent to maybe a hip score of 2:2 in the UK. And she is ED clear. But as David said, an injury or trauma can certainly bring on ED..

I'm really glad it's nothing serious....don't feel silly posting Karen, there are so many dogs on here with serious joint/ health issues...when a dog is displaying similar symptoms you are sure to imagine the worst.can you imagine me?there would definitely be wailing and probably a fair bit of brow mopping too as I worried myself into a lather!lets all hope for a good run now of healthy ,recuperating dogs, all, fit as fiddles for when the spring weather is upon us x

Karen, I don't think your posting about Poppy's swollen wrist is ridiculous at all. It doesn't matter what the ailment, every dog deserves to be acknowledged and sympathy/reassurance given in heaps ;)
