Hi, has anyone had an experience of Paroxymal dyskinesia in their lab? My 5 1/2 year old darling girl has had 4 episodes of what I thought were partial seizures but vet and neurology specialists think it's a movement disorder , Paroxymal dyskinesia. It’s a very odd thing ! She is totally fine apart from the odd 10 minute episodes of significant limb cramping. No treatment indicated at the moment as it does not affect her at all in any other way . It’s a watch and see. There is a research paper with it occurring in labs and is often misdiagnosed as a focal / partial seizure. It’s an odd thing and most grow out of it by 7, so we have everything crossed for her . She’s fine in every other way .

    Hi Sian,

Good to hear she's otherwise well, but I'm sure this is still very stressful for you when it happens. I haven't personal experience of this diagnosis myself, but hopefully some of our other members will be able to offer you some positive insight ❤️
