Just had to pop out in the car and on Radio 2 was an article about a lady who's dog died of lung cancer. She and her husband smoked 60 a day between them and basically killed the poor dog. They were careful not to smoke around their children JD grandchildren, but never considered their pets. Various callers then called in confirming the same. Their dogs and cats had all been diagnosed with lung cancer through no fault of their own Furthermore, and this might just be hearsay, but apparently on dogs/cats they are even more susceptible to additional toxins which they lick off their fur then grooming. Sorry, but worth bearing in mind if you are a smoker.
Re: Passive smoking and your pets A bit ashamed to admit that both me & my husband are back to smoking but we never smoke in the house or car as we have dogs. Pets don't have a choice we do so we would never risk their health.Tbh our friends (most of them are smokers too) don't understand that but accept that as it's our choice.
