We got a new charcoal lab puppy from an awesome breeder that gave her to us knowing we were taking a chance. The vet said it's a good sign she has no problems so far and she's 8 weeks old and seems like a normal puppy. Full of energy. From our understanding and what we've been told, it can clear up on it's own within the first 6 months.

Have any of you had labs with this and did it clear up? Any things you noticed when it got bad? Any advice or feedback is great! We really hope she makes it. We were looking at having it corrected if it doesn't clear up but read somewhere that the survival rate is low after the correction. So also looking for feedback on that.

    Hi John.
Do you mean Patent Ductus Arteriosus?
I think it is quite a common congenital heart problem. A quick google says they mostly close by 7 days old.
Not sure it is a problem that we have come across on the forum so far, but there may be one or two members with some information.
    I hope she does well
    Welcome to the forum
    Jac

What can? Dilute alopecia can last their lifetime.

You must be seeing something I'm not. I don't see him saying anything about PDA. I only see that in your response. Huh?

Sorry for the confusion everyone. Yes I mean Patent Ductus Arteriosus.

Can a mod update the title to PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus)? I don't seem to have that option.
