I was reading MadMudMob's thread about the silly little things we do and the fact that she can't pee in peace due to a little loo roll ritual with DivaDog.

Tatze insists on coming to the loo with me! Which is fine when I'm home alone, but a bit embarrassing when I have a house full of guests like yesterday. When in there she sits with her head on my lap sniffing the air.

Only dog lovers will understand this behaviour! (mine I mean, not hers :)) )

Are you able to pee in peace?

no ;D. and i have a tiny bathroom which only just fits me and two labradors...they come in when Im having a bath too. Brods licks the soap off my arms and cuilli likes to check discarded jean pockets to make sure there are no forgotten treats lurking...

If I manage to shut the door first I'm ok. Otherwise, no solo peeing here either....

Nope, none of our door close terribly well, and unless I lock it closed (but...you kind of stop doing that when you have kids.....) it is usually barged open and crashes against the end of the bath on the way in ::) ::)
At least she isn't a loo roll thief.
I can't have a shower in peace without her lying on the bath mat outside the shower cubicle either. All very well apart from me not being very good at drying/de-mudding and I often do a morning walk before my shower ::) ::) I NEVER have a clean bath mat unless it is fresh out the dryer.

I don't have this problem now, as Charlie doesn't get to wander round the house.

But before, yes, ill fitting bathroom door meant nicked loo roll, nicked bathroom waste bin, nicked towels, plugs and soaps...I sort of miss it. Although am glad to be able to leave the soap on the sink again, instead of balanced on top of the window shutter.

If penny isn't allowed into the bathroom with me she will bang on the door and then run around whining so she has to come up with me. Then she sits and stares and watches...

Holly stays outside, but if I have a shower she comes in afterwards to drink out the shower tray.

Mine don't go upstairs so if I want to wee in peace I go upstairs and use the bathroom. The cloakroom is another matter with both following me and waiting outside.

Shadow can open the bathroom door and the shower door, so I can't pee or shower in peace!

Luckily she's finally learnt that spare toilet rolls, dustbin contents and shampoo bottles are not toys for her to chew. But an empty toilet roll is just too irresistible!

Upstairs loo is a safe sanctuary because Pongo doesn't go upstairs (good boy learned early that it wasn't allowed and doesn't even try now).

Downstairs loo is a different matter. Not only sits and watches, but insists on resting his head on my knee and gazing up at me intensely. Very off-putting. I have absolutely no idea what he is thinking.
