Re: Phantom pregnancy
Oh Kate I want to cry every time I think of her looking for pups :'( I hope this doesn't last long.... I don't know anything but can she not 'mother' a soft toy or something similar ..? Would that not comfort her? Or is that stupid of me to suggest it ??? X
Angela, it would make matters worse if Millie was allowed toys to 'mother'.
Re: Phantom pregnancy Poor Millie January really can't come soon enough. You really have got a lot on at the moment and have done for some time.....hope you're ok x
Re: Phantom pregnancy So sad to hear that Millie is going through all of this. I hope Sam continues to keep her distracted a bit Licks from Harley (14 weeks)
Re: Phantom pregnancy Paul has taken Millie to the Vet this morning as she is now producing milk Our attempted walk had to be cut short as she was crying and wanting to get home , hopefully she can now get some help to cope , all she was doing at the woods was searching and howling , I just thank goodness that we had her and not someone less understanding, poor mite
Re: Phantom pregnancy So sorry to hear this Kate, poor Millie. Hopefully the vet might be able to help...
Re: Phantom pregnancy David has given her Galastop , says it will stop the lactation and help to reduce the other symptoms too . Her spay date should be spot on , she has to have the medication for seven days , he says she should be completely phantom free by the end of the month and her spay date is Jan 3rd , bring it on :
Re: Phantom pregnancy Poor little lass. Last time ever that she has to go through this though, which is such a good thing.
Re: Phantom pregnancy What was so touching but sad too was that earlier this morning , she came over to Sam who was crashed out on his cushion and began to wash his face , he woke and looked slightly confused by this, but bless him, he didnt move , oh goodness me , they can be so blinking complicated :
Re: Phantom pregnancy They can blummin break your heart too Kate can't they, none of you will go through this again....bless her little heart ,I think of your Millie everytime I see a little mixed dog in the park x
Re: Phantom pregnancy Am sad to say that Millie isnt really any better yet, despite the Galastop . The only thing so far is that it appears to have stopped lactation but her behaviour remains the same , still desperate to nurse . We are only half way through the course so are just hoping upon hope that she is better soon , its awful to see a usually happy little dog looking so miserable x
Re: Phantom pregnancy Oh hugs to Millie. :'( :'( :'( Such a shame for such a lovely little dog (and a normally happy one, thanks to you Kate). I know we've all seen this one before, but here she is in all her gorgeous cuteness, on a happy day on the beach. Let's hope she's back to normal soon: OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA by JulieTandCharlie, on Flickr
