Hi, I wonder if any of you place board users could please give me dimensions for a board for Charlie? I have seen some online, plastic so lightweight starting from £36 for a 22" x 22". David is never going to get round to making me one and frankly I would rather he was decorating our front room ::)

    Thank you xxx :)

I had some made for me with the dimensions 510mm x 610mm x 100mm high - but they are bigger than I need, really.

I have some from sporting saint: http://www.sportingsaint.co.uk/product/1179/category/25

Which are smaller, very much fine size wise but only "ok" quality - unpainted and they are not doing fabulously well (they would be better with a coat of paint over the bare wood which would be easy to do). I should stop leaving them out in the rain, really....

I don't think I'd buy lightweight plastic ones, not sure they would be any better than a mat, really. The advantage of placeboards over a mat is they don't blow around or move around if a dog is moving on and off them quickly....

Thanks Julie, they don't look like they would blow away, they are a training company that make them and use them in their own training classes, here's the webiste:- www.taketheleadtraining.co.uk

Easy to keep clean and wouldn't matter if they were left outside! ;) :) x
