Juno is now 8 months old and I'm looking to switch her from her 42" crate to a plastic bed. Any suggestions on what size I should buy for her as I'm looking for it to be large enough for her to finish growing. She has a soft comfy bed to curl up in during the evening in the lounge but I'm also looking for a bed for the kitchen. Many thanks
Re: Plastic beds I would get the biggest, they like to stretch out. I would also put some vet bed on the floor in front of the bed so that she has a choice
Re: Plastic beds I agree with mags get the biggest. You can always put a cushion or extra blankets to fill it up a bit. No point buying a small one then having to buy a bigger one when she grows. That's if it survives chewing.
Re: Plastic beds I was thinking of the biggest with a nice mattress to go with the cosy fleece blankets she currently has in her crate with her Ellie-Bo crate mattress. We've been lucky so far as Juno has shown no inclination to chew anything other than her toys although she still goes in her crate when we go out shopping and overnight but not during the day even if she's left in the kitchen by herself for a while. We used a stair gate for the first few months and discovered a couple of weeks ago how effective it had been in stopping her going upstairs as she needed lots of persuasion to go the upstairs with us so we could give her a bath!
Re: Plastic beds I have the largest plastic beds with fleece linings and sherpa fleece blankets which we have had for 3 years now. They love to stretch out so the bigger the better xx
Re: Plastic beds It is quite difficult to source a plastic bed. I bought one of the soft donut beds, much to husbands displeasure. Initially I put it inside her crate to,give her the idea. Now she likes it to be placed either touching a radiator or in the sunshine.
