When we moved the forum over from the old software, the new software allocated everyone the birthdate 1st January Year 1 Unfortunately, this keeps flagging up as an invalid birthdate and may be the cause of one or more of our bugs.

In some cases, to try and make things works, I have added a birth year of 1980 in some our your profiles, but many of you still have the Year 1 birthdate in place.

Could I please ask our members to update their birthdate in their profiles. (You can choose to keep the date private) to save me going in and giving all 2000 of you a new birthday :) Many thanks !

There may be a problem with birthdate's less than thirteen years ago, Lucy wrote about this earlier. Is it affecting your posts (she thought it might be triggering a need for moderator's approval of posts )

I'm having a confused moment (not difficult!), is it my birth date or my pups, that I should be putting in? I put mine when I registered now wondering if I got it wrong lol.

No, it's your own. It's not massively important you put the correct one, it's just if we have to update your record we need a valid DOB and some users don't have that, so it throws an error, and we have to make one up for you.

    Just for fun.

My mum was born on Leap Years Day in 1908

    I was born on 11th March 1947.

By a quirk of numbers we celebrated our 13th Birthdays just 12 days apart:D

Heheh. I've never known anyone who was born on 29th Feb.
Did she turn into a stroppy teenager at the same time as you did? ;)

Since you have a sense of humour I will share the following with you......

When she died in 1994 I phoned up the undertaker to make arrangements.

He asked me in the most obsequious voice "How many birthdays did the deceased enjoy?"

Well I don't like obsequious people and I couldn't resist it.

"It depends." I answered. "Either 86 or 21, depending how you count".

Deep and confused silence from the other end of the phone.

"She was born on 29th February 1908"

    I am a wicked person;)

LOL. I'd have said something along the lines of "She enjoyed 20. The rest she thought were rubbish." ;)
