    Poor Hattie.
Not something Lilly has had thankfully.
I guess I wouldn't realise unless I saw head shaking. Don't routinely check her ears and not sure I would pick it ip early even though I Did :(
Hope she is not feeling too out of sorts.

Much sympathy from fellow dog-with-ear-infection owner. I'm just finding out how tricky these ears can be - having had the all clear last week from the vet, Charlie is shaking his head again today. Just given it a good clean with saline and tissue, but back to the vet tomorrow I think.

Oh dear, poor thing! I've owned two dogs, both Border Collies, previous to Simba and have never experienced delving with ear infections, so have to keep reminding myself to check Simba's ears....will have to wait til I get home as I don't think my boys will want to add yet another thing to their list of doggy care items.... ::)

    Re: Poor Hattie

Thank you for all your wishes. Well we went back to the Vet yesterday to have Hattie's ears checked. Right one clear but left one still sore and needs to be cleaned out by the Nurse. Not sure how they do that. Over £75 so far  Helen x

Hope Hattie is better soon, Helen. I am a pro at checking and cleaning ears, having to do 4 sets of spaniel ears almost daily. Thornit is great to keep them problem free but can't be used if there is suspected damage to the ear drum.

    Re: Poor Hattie

Thanks Heidrun, no suspected ear drum problems just still red and sore but don't like all these antibiotic ear drops and the expense . I will get some Thornit and use once this problem has cleared up and the nurse cleans her ear. I also check ears and Hattie being a hairy beast needs her ear hair pulling so I am a bit of a pro myself ;D Helen x
