Me too Karen , so far, no side effects apart from maybe being a little more tired, but then again this could be because its very warm at the moment .
I think we all like to avoid medicating if at all possible but on the other hand, no caring owner wants to see their dog in need :)

Thanks Angela , the scratching is much improved, hardly any and her fur is growing back nicely . The only downside is that she is weeing more , she usually wont get out of her basket until about 8.30 in the morning but she woke me at 5 this morning, desperate for a wee, poor soul :(

That's great about the itching :)

Hopefully the weeing will lessen when you move to the lower dose rate. We had a couple of accidents inside during the daily dose period...

Glad the itching has stopped. Hopefully her little body will adjust and the weeing will settle down soon.

Yesterday, we started on the week of having a prednisolone every other day , so far so good re the scratching, but she is subdued and quiet . The wee issues are still present and I have noticed that she is making burn marks on the lawn where she didnt do before , not that this matters at all, grass will grow back . Just hoping that as we are now on the reduction stage, she will slowly begin to return to normal , she is still a happy little soul and if the itching stops , the lawn is a small price to pay :)

Glad she is still itch free. Can't add any help to the wee issues. We never noticed any difference with our dog on the tabs.

Glad Millie is improving. Poor little thing, must be uncomfortable. Sending her hugs from me and lots of licks and waggy tails from megs.

Poor Millie I hope she is a little better Kate. I have been reading about Salmon Oil and one of the benefits is soothing itchy skin, have you tried Kate it might be worth a try? xx

In the capsule form, that's right :) Lochan has also mentioned that fish oil/fatty acids can increase the effectiveness of antihistamines.

Gosh wish I'd brought some with me ,I'm getting eaten alive ( as usual) by mosquitoes.....I'm taking an antihistamine......in he absence of fish oil capsules I'm wondering if the wine and cosmopolitans I'm glugging might make my blood a little less appealing!x

thanks Jacqui,I had a good go on that last night ;D I know it is said to work but it was the night I've been bitten the worst....but I think that was as much to do with realising we hadn't plugged in electrical repeller!not to worry, the antihistamines are definately helping....I took one on the plane on the way this time ,usually I wait too late to start....eeeeee if that's all I have to moan about I really should stop now ,it's so lovely here x
