So Meg leapt into the Resovoir with gusto as usual today ....she quickly let out a very loud yelp and back foot was in the air....oh no......I checked her over couldn't find much and slowly she put it down again and wagged off as usual. Phew I thought. I got her home and on closer inspection have found a nasty cut on her leg...looks like something has sliced her upwards...I am guessing maybe glass as its a vey clean cut. She's taken herself to bed. I think it will heal well as long as it does not get infected...she's had a squirt of my favourite antiseptic sprey and paws crossed she will be ok...poor girl...extra cuddles from us all tonight and lots of TLC
Hi all, thanks for your kind wishes. She has bounced back...her limp has gone and wound looks ok so far. It's not bothering her much, just the occasional lick. I will squirt again before bed and hope we don't have to get to the vet tomorrow. She did take herself to bed yesterday as was unusually quiet so maybe her body just knew what needed to be done....phewee so far
