Oh my, how awful for you all. I can't imagine how you must be feeling. So glad to hear that she came through the operation well - fingers crossed she'll continue to recover well. Dogs are amazingly resilient. Do you know when she'll be able to come home? I imagine you're going to have "fun" keeping her quiet for a while.

So pleased to read that so far, so good. I remember watching an op on a pup who had swallowed a needle and thread and the bowel was all puckered up, had to have some bowel removed but recovered well.

Thank goodness she survived the operation. Well done to the vet, and to you, too, for getting her to the vet on time.

Five hours of surgery, that must have been an awfully long night for you, Fern and the vet. I'm so happy that little Fern came through it all and has even managed a wee and poop. What a star she is. Try and get some rest, hard I know.
OMG I can only imagine how you've been feeling, very distressing time for you all. Big hug.

This must be the only place on the planet where announcing that your pup has had a wee and a poo is greeted with so much enthusiasm. May you both soon be happily reunited.

Ferns not so good this morning and they are going to open her up again to see what's going on as they fear peritonitis but also there may be leakage from the cuts they had to make before.
We went to see her just now and she is a poorly pup for sure.
If they can't do anything they will have to let her go.
Words can't describe how I feel atm, as you will understand.
Thanks again for all your kind words and thoughts and encouragement, I will let you know how Fern gets on xx

Oh no.... I am so very sorry for you and poor little Fern. Here's hoping the surgeon finds the problem. How absolutely awful for you.
