My mum's rescue dog ate half a christmas pudding this December - MY christmas pudding I might add, that had been made specially for me by Mum and left in the porch which is unheated. Mum heard an odd noise.. that will have been the ceramic bowl skittering over the tiles, with the sound of a greedy dog chomping down on all the Christmas goodness.. Mum was worried because the pudding was full of all sorts of things very bad for dogs (raisins, currants, alcohol, sugar) - but the little pound dog has a cast-iron stomach and came to no harm whatsoever!

I never got a replacement christmas pudding though :(
