Hey, I've just caught up with this.

Penny has had limber tail syndrome several times now, unfortunately it's common in gundog types. The first time she had it, it took about 4 days for her to be completely back to normal but there was a marked improvement within 24 hours. The couple of times after that she had it, it was nowhere near as bad and resolved completely within 48 hours.

We have a bottle of metacam at home for her hops anyway so I just give her that for a couple of days, she's always really miserable and uncomfortable and I feel so sorry for her.

I hope Harley feels better soon!

Hope Harley is back to her usual self soon! I've never had to deal with this but it looks hopeful from what the others say that she will soon be over the worst of it!

Hope she is still continuing to improve! How is she today??

The first time Penny had it she wouldnt walk and was all crouchy on her back end so I initially thought she'd hurt her spine and paralysed herself!!! It can be scary!

She is better again today :D we've had a bit of a gentle play and she has had a bit of a waggy tail again :) we are going to go for a 20 min lead walk in a min and she us really restless and seems to have lots if energy ::)
My only concern at the minute is she isn't eating her dry food again! We mix it with wet, but she is licking the wet of the dry and leaving it! Is this normal with meds?

So pleased that all is going well , grand news :) Some meds, especially those like Metacam and Rimadyl can cause upset tums and nausea , keep trying with the mix Ternaya , her appetite should come back once the meds are finished .

Metacam seems have played havoc with rileys appetite and stomach so I've stopped his meds and hopefully he'll sort himself out ::)

Glad she's continuing to improve ;D
