    Great news!

    I'd just keep the cone on 24/7 and leave everything off his foot (except for putting the boot on for trips outside). The cone is your friend in this situation, clumsy at they are.

    Hope that it's on a fast track to being completely healed now :)

    Ah brilliant, good news he's healing up!

    I would be tempted to just have the cone on to let the wound dry out and then just use the boot to keep it clean when you take him outside. Penny had a cut pad a few months ago and it took ages to heal because if kept getting wet when we went outside.
