I have finally figured this out! When you look at your photograph on Flickr, you will see three icons at the bottom right hand side of the photo. These are a Star Speech Bubble Share button (arrow emerging from a container) Click on the share button. You will see a box with four icons at the top (email, facebook, etc) and below them are two blue links The first says "Grab the link" The second says "Get the HTML/BB code. Click on this! This is the point where I have always been stumped as I was only able to see the HTML code. BUT the BBCode (which you need in order to post in a forum) is there, it is just hard to spot. Underneath the box which contains the HTML code are two blue 'radio' buttons. The one on the left is selected by default, and is HTML and the one on the right is for BB code. You need to select the right hand BBCode button. It says BBcode in very pale text. Copy the code that appears in the box above the radio buttons and paste it into your forum post. It works every time ;D ;D Pippa
Re: Posting a photo from Flickr Right... Charlie beast 01 by JulieTandCharlie, on Flickr Oh wow, it works!
Re: Posting a photo from Flickr Julie what camera are you using? Your pictures are amazing....his coat is so slick and shiny on this he compares to a seal...he's beautiful x
Re: Posting a photo from Flickr Canon EOS 7D with a fancy lens, for this one, it was just in the garden - but OH is the techie, not me. More often Olympus OM-D E-M5, which is a LOT lighter and more practical, but won't do really, really sharp action shots. To be honest, any good modern digital camera so long as you read the instruction manual (yawn...) is very good.
Re: Posting a photo from Flickr Although I think it's the sardine training treats that do the shiny coat, rather than the camera!
Re: Posting a photo from Flickr IMGP1734.jpg by The Henfreys, on Flickr Just trying out photo posting in the absence of teenage help.....if this works it is Lochan, who I think looks very like Riley. She is trying to mind-meld me into giving her some sandwich.
Re: Posting a photo from Flickr [quote author=Stacia link=topic=1903.msg62393#msg62393 date=1395356891] Charlie's photo has gone! [/quote] I know. I had a flickr incident when trying to organise my photos into sets. Here is the picture that was there. Charlie beast 01 by JulieTandCharlie, on Flickr Hmm... I think Heidrun is right. Flickr does reduce the quality. It's much better before being flickred...
Re: Posting a photo from Flickr Wowee! What a gorgeous pic of Lochan Not to say Charlie isn't looking very gorgeous too
Re: Posting a photo from Flickr Here are some pics that might help people to post photos from Flickr. I am using a Mac so I don't know if it looks different on a PC. It looks a bit different on an iPad. First, make your photo public: Now you are ready to put the picture in your forum post. *Note* Since I took the screenshot below Flickr have changed their symbols - they don't use the 'pin' symbol any more and instead use 'BBCode'. So you need to click on 'BBCode' Like so!
Re: Posting a photo from Flickr I copied and pasted the BBC code, after chosing the size (this one is 240x180). No image tags required, a direct copy and paste, if that helps? IMG-20130414-WA0000 by drjs_5, on Flickr (not sure how to get it bigger though)
