How old is Lucky? Shadow used to be completely OTT if I ever broke into the slightest jog, jumping up and nipping at my clothing. I wasn't "running" as such, then, it was just if I wanted to get out of a sudden storm or whatever. Nightmare dog. It didn't bother me, because I never had any aspirations about becoming "a runner". I think age has been a big factor in him not being such a dick :D. He will be three years old in August (it can't be!!).

He's 3! But is probably the most excitable dog I have ever met. I think you're right, age makes a huge difference. He's probably like a 12 month old dog now, so maybe in another year he'll be able to cope with the excitement of moving faster! I take my bike sometimes but that doesn't get him so worked up - I guess on the bike I stop when he stops and go pretty slow. I know some people run with them on lead, but I don't think it's fair to make him run at such an unnatural speed.

On the very odd ocassion I decide to burst into a jog Charlie runs beautifully right next to me at an easy pace. I have a 'jog' and 'stop' cue and off we go, no sniffing, pulling just keeps his eyes focused infront , which is the only time he does  xx
