Re: Puppies and Exercise I do generally stick to the rule - we drive to and from the park and Jax will have a good run about with me- prob about 30 mins every other day. We do walk round our street once a day but that's just a walk and a chance to Jax to experience new things. We do use the raised bowls for Jax and we also have put a big heavy stone in the middle of his bowl to slow him down before- he gets hiccups often from galloping his food doen
Re: Puppies and Exercise
I had a problem with DexiD4DivaDog (sometimes I really wish she had a shorter name!)
Warning, post hijack, sorry!Mollly Been dying to ask you MMM....do you call DexiD4DivaDog by her full name whenever you want her?or do you shorted it to Dexi? We shorten Dexter to Dex but he also gets Mr Pops,Popsicle and Pops......can't tell you why...it's just evolved. Oh and my dog sitter calls him Mr Biggie which has now been shortened to Biggie! He's always Dexter when we are training anything or asking anything of him,to avoid confusion !!!! ha ha ha! Xxxx
Re: Puppies and Exercise Mostly its her full name in a sort of sing-song lilt accompanied by fussings. We do use a short sharp Dexi for more urgent come heres, stop thats etc. Long names just seem to be one of our things. One of the mounted skulls on our lounge wall is called Billy Bighorn The Seriously Pee'd Off Giant Sheep Who Also Happens To Be Dead .... I have no explanation how that stuck as a name but we always have been, errr, rather alternative bikery country-folk types (not a veggie hippie though we eat a lot of local game and venison and are passionate about sourcing locally for food, etc as and when possible. Firmly believe in keeping a sense of local community - sorry, I sidetracked) We also call her Beady Eye Betty, The Pinch-It Puppy and others I confessed to in this thread: http://www.thelabradorsite.com/forums/index.php/topic,3749.msg42496.html#msg42496
