    Hi Friends

Hope you'r all well not sure If this in right place just wondered if any of you think puppies/dogs go of there food ???
Reason I ask is Ziva didn't eat her breakfast this morning and only had couple of mouthfuls this evening she on Arden Grange puppy junior and small amount of Natures Menu puppy now she has been on Arden Grange since since being at Breeders and I introduced Meat at 4 months.

Can they go off there food or maybe she just not hungry , I don't think its hormones as she nearly 6 months on 15th Sept but don't no if they go of their food. I'm not overly worried but If she doesn't eat breakfast in morning I will get in touch with Vet.

    Any suggestions

    Cheers
    Marie & Ziva x

I'd say if it continues, a vet check is a good idea.

But they can just get fussy, yes. If nothing is wrong with her, you can stick it out (she'll eat eventually) or try a different food.

Just a thought though - I'd say the single biggest reason we hear on the forum for a dog suddenly going off their food is there is something wrong with the food. Kibble that has been stored incorrectly, or got damp, or not been used up by the sell by date etc. Quite a few people (including me) have had this experience.

    Hi Julie T

It's a fresh bag that arrived last week and I keep it in air tight bin.

I leave it down for 15 min then lift it up. She has always been a very slow eater even stopping few mouth full's in and having few sec rest lol lol before continuing .

Morning Bit of weird one this ..... Put half Ziva's breakfast down this morning and she never went near it left for 10 min but decided to put her meat into another bowl then put it back down and she ate it .....so lifted soup bowl up and put some dry into into it again she ate it

Could this suggest she doesn't like her normal bowl lol lol

Is it possible that the bowl is somehow contaminated?

I once had a cat that refused to eat, I eventually discovered that there was some rancid food tucked into a cranny underneath.
