I have a litter of 6 male and female 4 week old pups, they suckle on each others privates. They are nursed by mom and fat and well fed. I scold them when I see it but not sure what I should do if anything?
This is very normal and happens a lot in litters. Never scold pups - you want them to be confident and happy around people, but do move them away as they can cause sores to appear. Welcome to the forum .
Thank you Boogie! I have been scouring the internet for answers on this and I read to separate them but I felt that was wrong, I just worried it might cause a UTI or I read they can mutilate each other. I thought it might be normal but was just paranoid since it has been 30 years since I raised a litter.
