Just been playing with "the puppy formerly known as Jebs" and he is an absolute delight. A lot smaller than Willow (the smallest of the litter) but very gentle and quiet. We went for a bit of a walk, just the three of us, and I took the opportunity to do a little bit of easy training with Willow with the distraction of another pup. Just basic sits, but she was a star. Anything for a bit of cheese! Obviously, I'll have to charge the clicker with #2 when we get home and start from the very beginning, but he has a good recall already. Interesting to see the two of them interacting on our little walk and I'm definitely going to have to do lots of walks separately, that's obvious, but I'm still up for the challenge. He is much cuddlier than Willow, but lots of the same mischief! Excited for taking him home
Re: Puppy #2 Ah sounds like it went really well ....can't wait to hear how he settles in with you all ,sounds positive so far,he sounds lovely...why did he go back to the breeder? X...if you don't mind me asking x
Re: Puppy #2 Aww can't wait to see them together! Glad to hear all went well. It might be a tad easier if he is a mellow, no mischief kinda guy...
Re: Puppy #2
Oh need photos of this pup! Have you decided on a name yet?
Jaws?
Re: Puppy #2 Haha, sorry I've not really been on here - too busy doing puppy things! We don't have a name yet. I've taken a few pictures but it really is yukky weather here, so they're not the best. I can't upload until I get home, though, because I stupidly left my cable at home. Duh. We're not travelling back today as planned, because the stupid courier company who were supposed to be delivering the new (bigger) crate and a load of food last week couldn't find the place, so we're going to pick it up in the morning, hopefully. Our friend has also agreed to take the last remaining one, so we're going to have THREE puppies in the car with us tomorrow! Fun times! Willow will be in her car crate, but H will have to try to keep two others settled in the back on the way back. Hopefully, they'll be as good as Willow was when we picked her up, and sleep all the way home. X...if you don't mind me asking x
I don't mind at all! He had a home with an English couple and their two kids (one of whom is autistic) but, before they were due to collect him, they decided that they wouldn't be able to manage a puppy. Fair enough, I suppose. Dotty, the one who is going to our friends, was supposed to be going to the owner of the chateau here, but he's spending more time in Oz now and decided, again perfectly sensibly, that it wouldn't be fair on her, and he didn't want to export her, having done that with another dog before, not all that successfully. They've all been playing in the rain and the mud this morning. They are all absolutely filthy but having fun!
