Well I freaked out a bit when I noticed my Lab's chin today, but my OH found that it is puppy acne and nothing to be worried about unless it develops very badly I've never experienced this before, has anyone else? What was your experience with it?
Hi , yes my lad Sam had this too . It would come and go , little pimples around his snout ! Our Vet advised that it would go of its own accord as the immune system strengthened , he was right, it just disappeared ! I just made sure to keep them clean to stop them becoming infected , so would wash his chin in a well diluted solution of Hibiscrub every few days .
Willow had it as a puppy, and she just grew out of it. Luna has had a couple of pimples, too, and, again, they just disappeared after a day or so. Keep a eye on them, but don't worry at this stage.
Thanks snowbunny I've never had a dog that developed this so it was a shock. Glad to hear it's fairly common and not much to worry about. Talk about a true teenager... Acne and all.
