Thank you so much for the support!

Goodness you all have been so positive!! I'm glad I joined! He is getting in the habit of running, without pulling on the leash. I spot birds or squirrels and we run, it catches his interest and keeps him running. Obviously, I did it for very short periods to test out as we are only getting started.

Labs really bring out the creativity in you!

I try and try, some days are better than others. He does have an aggression for 'new things' though. He apparently found something htat I tried to take away and he jumped up to bite me more than once. As many stated before, it is a family effort.

He came to me 5 min later from my parents room with a sullen look. I made him sit before entering, and then invited him 'Up' so he seemed like he either wasnt paying attention or didnt want to listen so...I closed my door but not all the way. I then opened it, commanded him to sit, and then said 'Up' and he went up and on my bed. I have no idea if dogs feel remorse or what that was. No he did not draw out blood or anything, but it was the intent behind it. I will keep working and working and read pippas book.
