Henrys been with us now for 2 week hes 10 weeks old now and has had his last injection so walkies soon! but since hes been hes he was very submissive to tilly and surrendered all the time to her but now hes constantly biting her and it doesnt look like a play bite he growls and bites ALOT and doesnt wag his tail when doing so i know puppys bite with play etc but he will constantly run dive bite tilly hard and sometimes make her cry until tilly nips him back. we have tried telling him off but he just barks back loudly in our faces then carries on! so we seperate them when we can but i dont remember my other girls as pups being like this any advice ?? lol
It is normal I`m afraid He has now got his feet well and truly under the table, inhibitions have gone and he is going for it Whatever you do , don't chastise Tilly if she nips Henry , she is doing what his Mum/Siblings would have done , as long as she doesn't harm him then let her do what she is doing which is teaching Henry some manners When he gets too full on, put him in his crate for some time out , it will give Tilly time out too , he will grow out of it
(When a new, angelic pup arrives I say 'give it a fortnight'!) Very, very normal. Twiglet still sometimes shouts in Tatze's face! We have a safe place for Tatze (her chair) where she knows the puppy isn't allowed near her - whatever happens. So Tatze dives for her chair when she's had enough. If Tilly doesn't stop him overdoing it then you will need to, every time - he will get the message eventually! .
Jake is 10 wks and has progressed from croco pup to velociraptor first thing in the morning and during the witching hour after his food but before he crashes. Taking him out for a carry walk distracts him enough to calm down, but boy does he go for it when he is having a doggy frenzy.
Took Henry for his first walkies today with Tilly being the support lol he did fine and now is a lot more chilled out! Amazing what abit of exercise can do
