    Hi

My 6 month old lab puppy ate some cut up grapes from a packed lunch bag (I think as I can't fine them anywhere) and she had eaten some crisps and sandwich about 11.30 this morning. There were about 8 grapes max cut up so I'm monitoring her and she seems fine. Now im worried reading how toxic they can be should i just keep an eye on her?

Just as a precaution I would suggest calling your Vet.

Hi Carolyn, you're right that grapes are toxic to dogs - they cause kidney failure when eaten in sufficient quantities.

Since your puppy is still small, we also recommend calling your vet for advice.

Keep an eye out for diarrhea, vomiting, lack or urination, and loss of energy. And please come back and let us know when she's in the clear again!

Definitely ring vet asap. You pup might look ok but you don’t know what’s going on and early treatment is essential. Let us know how you get on.

Hello, just an update on Rosie - luckily she was fine and the grapes didn't affect her but I didn't sleep all night worrying about her. Just have to be more careful with her as she is into everything!

    Really good news.

What steps have you put in place to prevent her from getting into everything? House line? Crate trained? Play pen? Stair/baby gates?

Instrumental conditioning works on children too.
