Hi. Our pup is now 3 months old and we also have a 10 year old lab. The puppy keeps barking at the older dog and the older dog ignores him for a while and then sometimes will bark or growl back and the pup used to stop. Sometimes he'll just walk away to a place where the pup can't go. It's happening more often now and I think the puppy wants to play and our older dog tolerates the puppy but doesn't really want to play with him. He's never really played with him since we got the puppy. When he barked or growled back the puppy would stop but I think the pup is getting braver now and isn't as 'scared' of the older dog. What training methods can I use to try to get the puppy to stop barking at the older dog? Thanks!
Yes, it'll be a play bark He'll stop eventually if he continues to get no reaction. I would just distract him with play/training etc.
