Hi There, This might be a bit of a bizzare one but my 5 month old purebred chocolate puppy Luna, lost a tooth the other day and since then her ears have gone from floppy to having a fold in them. I have never seen anything like it and if I straighten her ear it goes back to normal. Is this normal and will her ears go back to floppy. I have read that this happens while they are teething and then they return to normal? I love her no matter what it is just so strange. Would love if someone has the answer. Thanks so much
Hi there and welcome to the forum! Ear carriage can change during periods of rapid growth and these periods may coincide with teething. I haven't seen any evidence that one causes the other and it is usually only a concern with dogs that start with floppy ears and end up with pricked up ears (such as german shepherds) Unlikely to be anything to worry about in a Lab.
