    Hi There,
This might be a bit of a bizzare one but my 5 month old purebred chocolate puppy Luna, lost a tooth the other day and since then her ears have gone from floppy to having a fold in them. I have never seen anything like it and if I straighten her ear it goes back to normal. Is this normal and will her ears go back to floppy. I have read that this happens while they are teething and then they return to normal? I love her no matter what it is just so strange. Would love if someone has the answer. Thanks so much :)

Hi there and welcome to the forum!

Ear carriage can change during periods of rapid growth and these periods may coincide with teething. I haven't seen any evidence that one causes the other and it is usually only a concern with dogs that start with floppy ears and end up with pricked up ears (such as german shepherds) Unlikely to be anything to worry about in a Lab. :)

    Hi Pippa,

Thanks so much for your reply.
Last night I massaged her ears and one of them went floppy again. I think I will just continue massaging them for her. :)
Thanks again and have a nice day.
