Hi all, first-time dog owner here. Our lab is 9 weeks old and was fed raw and kibble. Currently, he is having 4 meals a day; 2 kibble, 2 raw, however, I am interested in taking away the raw meals and sticking with kibble.

Will I upset his stomach if I replace his 2 raw meals with another 2 kibble meals? Or should I slowly wean him off the raw food?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi Matthew and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your new puppy!

It's always better to make changes to a new puppy's diet gradually. I would replace one of your puppy's raw meals with a very small amount of kibble - increase that gradually over a few days, and then do the same with the other raw meal.

Thanks for this! Do you have a guide to how much kibble we should be feeding our pup per day?

However much your individual pup needs, looking at their body and keeping it in optimal weight. Which is NOT whatever amount it will say on the packet...
