Hi. I took Pebbles out today to Mole Valley and then to spend 15 minutes on an industrial estate seeing lorries, vans and cars moving around. we were probably out and about for an hour. However, on the way home she did a big wee in her crate in the car and I felt so guilty. When she is being carried due to only having one set of vaccinations, but we are getting her out for socialising and experiences, what can I do about putting her on the ground to do a wee???? It all seems a bit confusing. Thank you.

Ah hour is a long time for a 8 week old puppy to hold in a pee especially when she is awake. She will need to pee about every 30 minutes.
When Luna was that age she never peed when carrying her but would squirm and cry to let you know she needed down to pee.

Maybe you could have puppy mats with you and a piece of cardboard that you can set out in the boot/back seat of the car so she can pee before you start heading home?

During the socialisation she will be stimulated but when this stops she will realised I need to pee now.

    Hope you find a solution

Thank you. I’ll try the puppy pads.
