Our 14 week old puppy has only barked about 3 or 4 times since we got her is this normal ? She has settled in really well she hasn’t cried much at all either as well it’s like she has been here forever we only have her 3 weeks. Hubby thinks I shouldn’t be complaining but I can’t remember how much our last Labrador barked as a pup but he did defo cry the first 2 weeks when we got him
Some pups are just more vocal than others . My vote is definitely with your husband and not worrying. We didn't hear my girl bark until she was around 5 months old - she just never felt the need. Needless to say when she did bark it really made me jump as it was such a deep, loud bark . I think she surprised herself as well . So don't worry and enjoy the quiet - while it lasts
My pup barked at two things when she was tiny; her food bowl and the brass ring handle on the fire guard! She grew out of both and now barks when someone is at the front door or if she wants to protect me.
