Our 9 week old puppy is usually good At peeing on the pads but the past few days he has been weeing all over the kitchen and on his cushion when he doesn’t get attention. Any ideas of how to curb this?

Hi there, and welcome to the forum. :) The good news is that your puppy is almost certainly not peeing for attention. Many nine week old puppies have very little bladder control and pee very frequently indeed, wherever they may happen to be. The answer is usually to take the puppy outside more often, or if you are training the puppy to us puppy pads indoors, to put the pads in a specific area such as in a puppy playpen with nothing else of interest in there, and leave the puppy in the pen on the pads until they have relieved themselves. then bring them out again. Alternatively cover the whole area with pads and reduce the area gradually over the week or two. If you can avoid puppy pads and go straight to outdoor toilet training you may find things a lot easier in the long run. Either way, toilet training takes a lot of perseverance and plenty of supervision.
