I have an 11 week old sweet black lab. I understand that labs are extremely mouthy and bite everything including me. The past few days though when I try to stop her from biting on things she is not supposed to (molding, chair, etc... she has snapped her teeth together and one time lunged at me. Is this normal behavior? She does not do it all the time but has done it on a few occasions.

    Puppies are monsters :)

Try putting 'land shark' in the search bar - you're not alone!

I'm afraid trying to take things off her may have the effect of making her more determined to hold on to them, or she might mistake your intentions for being playful. It's more effective to prevent her getting hold of thinks she shouldn't bite in the first place, using a playpen, and toys to distract her when she's out of the playpen.

    Good luck, hang in there!

Thank you for the reassurance! We have set up a playpen/gate for a section of kitchen that has her crate and room to run around when I can’t have my eye on her every second.
