Hello all! I took home a 7 week old puppy about a week ago and for the first week at our home he had no accidents at all in his crate. He did whine and cry at night, but he never once had an accident and when I’d take him outside, he’d happily do his business there. However, just a few days ago when he turned 8 weeks old, he had three pee accidents in his crate - once in the afternoon and twice in the middle of the night/early morning. I did give him more water than usual that day so I assumed it was just that, but he made another accident the night after even with reduced water intake and multiple last minute potty breaks before sleep (he did manage to avoid any accidents during the day). In all instances I would wake up to his crying, but by the time I came to get him, he had already wet himself. He does have a little extra room in his crate so that he can turn around and take a few steps, so perhaps it could be that? But the fact he didn’t have accidents in there before makes me unsure. Any help would be much appreciated!
