Not dog related at all, but ARGH! My external hard drive has just failed, with no warning. The one that has all my photos from the summer on it. ALL OF THEM! Everything to do with the house, everything to do with the dogs.
When I'm in Andorra, I have a really well set-up backup system, but it's not in place here in Spain yet.

    ARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!

Thanks, I'm going to get some quotes for data recovery, but I know that will cost a fortune, if it's even possible :(

We took Ella to the State Dog Centre today. We've done a few trials here (including our last trial - the one that ended in zoomies) and as members of Dogs Vic, we can actually use the park whenever we like.

Was a great experience and I think we'll try to get there once a fortnight to train, walk and play. Ella was a bit stressed when we first got there but was great by the time we left. I'm hoping that we can desensitise her to the place a bit so that future trials are a little less stressful :)

Oh NO  That's the trouble with computers. Have you a back up in Andorra so that you will only have lost the recent photos in Spain? If you have lost everything for ever, then I am so sorry, heartbreaking.

It's just stuff since I've been here this summer. All my pictures are normally safely backed up across two drives in Andorra, and this happens automatically when I'm on the network there. It's a super safe system. But here, I don't have my whole flashy network.... yet.

So, it is "just" everything since late April, but that includes progress pictures of the property, all of Luna's shows etc. :(

They have new fences and dog poo dispensers on one of our regular reservoir free run spots :)

Not blogged anything about the house in ages - it was on my long list of things to do. And only the odd picture of the dogs. I had literally thousands of photos (over 3000 total) from the end of April :(

Oh well, it's done. If I can get it back, great, if not (or if it's too costly), there's no point crying over it.

It's more annoying because I'm normally so good! That's why I have a mega secure network in Andorra - I've lost stuff before. But here, I just have my laptop and not all my servers. It's a pretty new hard drive - I bought it when I was in the UK over the winter - so it really shouldn't have failed so soon. They will be getting a VERY snippy email.

@snowbunny, there are a few photos of Luna at her show on this forum, you could get them off that perhaps? I expect you have already realised that though :) Have friends got some photos of the shows?

Oh dear - we are supposed to be in summer, it was baking hot about 10 days ago and we all nearly expired, then it suddenly went down to 15c and felt very cold.

Yes, I have all the photos I put online, but that's it. Ah well. I'm contacting the manufacturer to see if they can put it into their data labs for recovery.

After our heatwave, it's gone down to a remarkably chilly 26C here today! I had to have a blanket over my sheet last night!
